Thank you to everyone who offered advice in my last post (how to help my hair grow).
I have another question!
To get healthy hair...I've heard about using olive, cocoa and jojba oils. My question is this: Do you put it in your hair and then wash it out? Or, how does this work?
I have extremely dry hair. A lady a few months back used bleach on top of bleach and ruined my hair. That's also why it's so short and I've been growing it out!
I've been eating fruit here and there, and drinking water like crazy. I've also bought every deep conditioning treatment Sally's Beauty Supply carries.
I use the new David Babaii for Wildaid hydrating system (shampoo & conditioner).
I have long haired bob. Chin length in the front, shorter in the back. Natural course, thick curly hair, so I'm constantly using my heat protectant spray, blowdryer (Silver Bird)and straightener (Hot & Silky). I also use style tools such as BioSilk and Super Skinny by Paul Mitchell.
Looking for something natural to help out my hair!

| Coconut Oil |

I apologize now if I missed this when I looked through the memories. I looked there and the FAQ and didn't see anything that answered my question, but that doesn't mean it's not there.
I went and bought coconut oil today because I keep hearing about it everywhere. Now my question is, how do you use it? What's the best way? I've seen everything from leave it in for 15 minutes then shampoo out to use it on dry hair and leave it on overnight. Then some places say mix it with water and others don't say that. So really, how do I go about using it? Do I use only a little and just finger comb it through my hair or get a decent amount in my hair and how long and so on? |

I decided to start growing my hair out around the end of 2008/beginning of 2009. So I have a few progress pics I'd like to share. :)
Haha, I just realized I haven't really taken any progress pics since January, which was when I last dyed/trimmed my hair. So the two pictures under the cut show a difference of 7 months. :O
