New Year Ahead
Hi everyone-

Sorry it has been forever and a day since I last updated you all. I ended up giving birth to my son Kaleb on Oct. 23, 2005 by emergency c-section after going 2 weeks past my due date. Since then I have been wrapped up in the joys of first time motherhood and then the holiday obligations.
I haven't neglected my art completely in this time. I have been busy at work creating a new web site, Protection Wings (which will be up and running within the month), that will be featuring my charity art pieces. I'm really excited about this venture and hope that it will be a success in helping raise awareness and money for the various causes.

Thanks so much. It has been really exciting to have my art take off a bit more, but honestly, becoming a mom has been the most wonderful thing of all. I know it's been said before but once you have a child you do feel fullfilled like never before. Hey, I love your icon! Have you read Tori's book?

yes, I really liked the book. I feel it was just as insightful as to my life as it was to hers.

My son has changed my life completely.

This Christmas my cousin bought me one of the zodiac fairies that you had also bought (and had hanging in the art room i think). And we're both pisces (although I'm on the cusp), so it's the same one you have. It's hanging in my room now. Next to my Iggy, Bowie, and Crue hahaha. I can't wait to have you back at school and continue guiding us! (I'm actually doing ANOTHER portfolio for my application to Otis.. ahhhhh) We'll see you in a couple of weeks, yes?

ps. do you think there's some way next semester we can pull some strings so i can have 2 art classes :)
I was thinking.. keeping the school service class for special projects, and maybe be enrolled in AP art? I dont know how Krystal got around it but I want more art time!!

You can sign up for Advanced again (you can take advanced as many times as you want) but I will just let you do your own thing like this semester. Sign up for school service for the second class. Let me know if it doesn't work and I"ll talk to them for you.

Yes, I'll be back for the new semester. The Zodiac fairies are done by my dear artist friend Jessica Galbreth. I got to visit her this summer. Pisces Rock! Although we are a bit to emotional for our own good. Let me know more about Otis and what you are painting. I can't wait to see all that you have done.
